Ow. Ow. Ow. Broken foot

Filed under: Uncategorized — bunitingi @ 12:34 pm

Not really much to post about, so i’ll keep it short and sweet. I went to a gig with a reggae band I’m going to be working with over the next few months, and broke 2 of the bones in my foot.

I know the obvious question is how did it happen, but really, it’s so much more interesting to go with the official press release of: “5 guys in alley threatening poor little schoolchild/elderly lady, what could i do, before i knew it i had vanquished all 5 of them but in the process 1 of them landed a lucky shot with their gun/knife, but i don’t mind because the satisfaction of knowing the little girl/old lady is safe is reward enough for me.”

Trust me, truth at times can be much, much blander than fiction.

But on the bright side, now my 7 month pregnant wife can fetch ME a glass of water! (oh, and i’m counting down the hours until tonight at 3 AM when i can make HER get up and kill the mosquito who’s hiding somewhere in the room)

Mosquitos infest the river area here in Zemun, and our summer has been defined by my unrealizable attempts at mosquito genocide.

Sigh. It was fun at the hospital where i got to ride around in the wheelchair (never been in one before. It’s was really fun, blinding foot pain aside)

So there you go. More interesting post next time. (Let me get the hang of these funky little serbian pain killers first.)

  1. Well, I guess the next cineclub session will be at your place then. I bring the film, you provide the Zimmer frames…

  2. All Siberian pain killers are to be taken with Vodka and usually that’s all there is.
