So Maja’s doctor is insistant on inducing labor on Monday. For the msot part Maja leans towards it, although she struggles with it a bit. She would like the pregnancy to end, very much. She is also worried about losing or alienating her doctor if she refuses, which, here at least, is a very real concern. I could tell you stories.

She has another doctor, who, because Maja has gotten msot of her help from the hospital, will not offer Maja any advice whien she asked for it. This bitch is petty and has dismissed Maja completely because she went to another source. It’s infuriating.

I’m not at all into inducing on monday. I don’t see a crisis, although i grant you, her fibroid presents possible problems, and perhaps this is the best choice.

If Maja truly wants this, i will, having voiced my opinion, no longer worry about it and instead simply supprot her %110. If this is what she wants, then that is how it will be, and i will make it my mission in life to help her to the fullest extent i am capable of.

But i feel that we are being very pressured.

The due date is not a scientific exactitude. And 2 days after the due date is not a crisis point. The more time that passes after the due date, the more complications. The baby gets bigger, the placenta starts to wither, the amniotic fluid starts to drain. I get it. I would never insist. I just feel that given the flexible nature of due dates, we are not actually in crisis yet, although once again, a good argument as to the trouble the fibroid presents would turn my opinion.

We also have the problem of her cervix not being dilated at all. At all actually. Perhaps this is a problem which will not go away and we will need to induce regardless. And the longer we wait, the more difficult it will be. We both would rather do this without a C section if possible, and perhaps waiting will decrease these chances.

I am not a medical professional. Once again, it is not for me to insist, it is for me to support.

As it looks, we will probably end up inducing on Monday. And that is fine. I will be there every step of the way, i will help alleviate her labor discomforts, i will be there at the birth of my son. And i, on Monday night, maybe tuesday morning, will post news of the birth of our child.

I just wanted to vent, that i do feel we are being pressured, and i’m not convinced that this is absolutely neccesary. But hey, even if it is, it’s not the end the end of the world, and really, as long as Maja is fine with it, then that’s all i need to know. My fight is to support my wife. if she has a problem, then i will fight for her concerns tooth and nail. If there is no problem, then like i said, i will make sure that she has the best company possible during labor.

So i guess that’s that. Hell, maybe she’ll go into labor tomorrow, although at this point, i wouldn’t hold my breath.

So there you have it.

  1. I love you guys, and I hope the baby comes soon and is healthy, whether by natural way or C-section, and that the mom (for whom I have aforementioned affection) is happy and healthy as well. Right now I honestly wish I could be there for support and some post-natal assistance, but I’ll have to be content to sit over here and cheer for you guys. Hugs.

  2. Yahh babies! I’m sure everything will work out, and you know my mom had 3 C-sections and look how we turned out. Wait that’s not comforting, at least I’m not a sociopath. Good luck with the baby guys keep us informed.

  3. It’s cool to have stumbled upon this page and discovered what is happening with someone that I knew so long ago (high school). I’m very happy to see that you are pursuing your art and are so very happy. Trust what you think is best, and remember that the doctors have the same ultimate goal as you do – a healthy Mom and baby. If the labor starts by induction or naturally may seem unimportant once you are holding your son. I’ll have to check back regularly to see how parenthood suits you. I have a feeling you are going to be a great dad. (By the way, your wife is radiant – which I think fulfills an old wife’s tale about carrying a boy. I believe boys are supposed to bring that glow.)
