So he does actually smile now! And he makes lots of other vocal sounds besides torturous screams!

We can spend a lot more time just chilling together, and he’s awake much more. Looks around constantly and his gaze gets very intensely focused on stuff. (Our little mini chandelier, and i use the term VERY loosely, is his favorite thing to lock his eyes on.)

Maja is really, really good about playful interaction with him. She has a knack.

He has clearly changed, so i thought i’d post some more pics.

  1. Awesome. It’s cool when they start developing little personalities that you can interact with, instead of just being a wailing food hole. You’re in the transitional period in which they’re a bit of both. That lasts a while.

    Like till they’re 18.

Seriously, though, the kid’s got a good smile, very wry. Definitely chipped off a chunk of those two blocks.

  2. Adam is so darn good looking. How wonderful he looks and how quickly he is growing.

Glad you are enjoying the fruits of your loins and the blessings of parenthood.

  3. That’s quite a Bill-Murray-worthy smirk. Perhaps he will go into comedy.

Reminds me of Nathan at a similar time! He was about 7 weeks old according to the pic info here:

Whatever's over there makes me happy

    • WOW, those pics of nathan at this age are awesome. If you blank out the specific facial details, the expression, the mannerisms, are exact. Which further reassures me he’s not a mutant. Mostly i get bummer thinking how unhappy he seems in life. Mainly cause he just seems like…. well…. like he’s a wailing food hole half the time. Boy did that crack me up.
